Sermon Title: “Marks & Magnets”

April 14, 2019

Do you find yourself searching for belonging and purpose? Are you fumbling between tasks, jobs, and relationships, longing for fulfillment? You are invited to discover the ways in which your life matters, YOU MATTER, here and now. We’re excited to worship with you each week and experience this powerful sermon series through April 14.

Title: “Marks & Magnets”

God doesn’t get tired of showing up.

Remembrance must lead to expectation.

You can change your name without changing your identity.

Jacob already is Israel, he’s still acting like Jacob.

We know that we are always drawn to what is easy, to what is celebrated, and that the gravitational pull of our lives will lead us away from where we want to be.

As you reflect on the message this week, use some of these questions to consider how God might be working within and around you.

Questions for Reflection:

  • What are some of the markers you have made in your own life (journals, photo albums, etc)?

  • What are some of the ways that God has moved in your life in the past? Based on God’s past work in your life, what expectation do you have for the future?

  • How can you begin to take ownership of your transformation and begin living in the here that already matters?

  • In what ways are you drawn to what is easy?

  • Commit to making a mark this week, to establishing a magnet to draw you into what God has for you in the future – share your marker with your Group or someone else!
