Sermon Title: “I Won’t Let Go”

April 7, 2019

Do you find yourself searching for belonging and purpose? Are you fumbling between tasks, jobs, and relationships, longing for fulfillment? You are invited to discover the ways in which your life matters, YOU MATTER, here and now. We’re excited to worship with you each week and experience this powerful sermon series through April 14.

Title: “I Won’t Let Go”

The blessing of God is not primarily seen in terms of physical benefits, but ongoing spiritual presence.

The pattern in scripture: Taken, Broken, Blessed, Given

It’s always in the breaking that we invite God into our lives in a new way.

Fire, Pressed, Crushed

We want his significance, but not his process.

Even if he doesn’t, he is still God.

As you reflect on the message this week, use some of these questions to consider how God might be working within and around you.

Questions for Reflection:

  • Has God ever shown up in the midst of your unexpected chaos?

  • How would you define “blessing?”

  • How does the picture we see of blessing in the story of Jacob (Genesis 32) differ from
    your definition of blessing?

  • Have you been pressed in the past? What anointing came from that difficulty?

  • What brokenness can you invite God into this week?
