Title: “It’s Time”

Genesis 28:10-24

It’s always more important to know “Who God Is” over “What God is Doing”.

Why don’t we know that God is here:
– Boredom
– Cynicism
– Anticipation

The issue isn’t that God isn’t here, the issue is that Jacob wasn’t.

The here that matters is not about a new location, but a new perspective.

If God’s not done with you, why would you be done with you?

As you reflect on the message this week, use some of these questions to consider how God might be working within and around you.

Questions for Reflection:

  • Can you remember a time when you were living for “there,” maybe a different life situation, or a different life stage, or a different location? What happened when you arrived “there?”

  • Do you tend to fall prey to the enemy of boredom, cynicism, or anticipation?

  • How would the realization that God is here change your perspective?

  • Finish this sentence – “If God is here, then…”

  • What’s one thing you can do this week to be more present right here, right now?
