Mark 11:12-26

1. We live in a culture that is threatened by greatness.

2. The celebration of mediocrity leads to a culture that is impressed by criticism and consumption.

3. The Church was never meant to level people off but to raise them up.

4. The numbers we watch: 1st Time Guests, Forward, Hope Team

5. Greatness: On our team we will stretch beyond our comfort and pursue honesty because we believe expertise and perfection are poor substitutes for something that is alive.

6. Throwing the mountain into the sea is not about scaling the impossible, but about removing any obstacle.

7. God will remove whatever is keeping you from him.

8. You are already blessed.

As you reflect on the message this week, use some of these questions to consider how God might be working within and around you.

Questions for Reflection:

  • If someone were to look at the fruit of your life, would they see a critic or creator?

  • In what ways have you let the cultural value of consumption leveled off your creativity?

  • What would you need to be elevated to greatness?

  • How might God be calling you to create in your life this week?
