What determines how close are you to trusting Jesus with ALL your life? Sometimes we are trusting rules rather than relationship with Jesus. We may keep distance as we stay in line with religious practice. Sometimes distance is because of difficulties in our lives- how could a loving God allow this to happen? “You’re not that far” if you are seeking a relationship with God.
Seeking God in one’s life will require trusting that the God of the Universe exists, beginning a relationship with Him, learning, and discovering true Truth to guide one’s path. In the Greatest commandment which is about loving God with all, and loving others, we are given directions- do we follow them? What would be different in your life if you loved God with ALL your life? What are you loving MORE than God? How are you at loving others? (ask your family)

Have you ever challenged these obstacles- asking questions in community to have clarity or do they become ‘truths’ to support your decision? “The safest place in all the world is in the will of God” – Corrie Ten Boom, who was a Holocaust survivor-how could she say that? Corrie wasn’t saying safe as in cushy and comfortable; in reading about her journey, it was anything but safe, cushy or comfortable. Corrie also said, “There is no pit so deep that God is not deeper still”, She trusted God with ALL regardless of the obstacles.
Surrendering our life to Jesus daily, means we trust Him with ALL our life, not selectively deciding where He is Lord. When we realize the love of God for us, we can begin to experience peace -even when life is chaotic and not be filled with fear for the future. We can believe that God wants the best for our life even when faced with challenges, knowing that God has us in the palm of His hand.
Life is challenging, painful, uncertain, joyful, and exciting- and we can trust God with ALL.
“Because of the Lord’s great love, we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.” The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.” Lamentations 3:22-26 NIV
