Even if you are not a farmer, gardener or have any idea of how things grow, you know that they do. Especially if one of your chores is to mow the lawn-it just keeps growing! In winter we may think things are dead, yet in the spring the earth comes back to life! And the Creator of all these things is also doing the same in our lives. God is continuing the work He began and will be faithful to complete it. (Philippians 1:6)

Some people may feel like there is no way God is working in their lives. They haven’t noticed any changes or improvements. Even when you don’t know how God is moving and working- He is moving. When we feel like the challenges we face never change; we can have faith that God is working. The expectation is ‘if God were working all of my problems would disappear’.

The reality is that we need to participate with God and how He is moving in our lives.

Where do you recognize God moving in your life? (It might be the simple fact that you are seeking awareness of God working in your life!) What have you sensed God calling you to that you are hesitant to move? How are you connecting with God, building a close relationship with Him?

You are more aware of your failures than anyone else. We take our reality and compare it to the perceived perfection of everyone around us. Truth is we all need a Savior. If we are breathing, we still have time to grow. That is the beauty of life with Christ! The redemption of a life that seemed lost and forever broken Christ restores and from those restored lives, others will come to realize the hope we have in Jesus.

Even though the Gospel of Mark (and Kevin Jack) aren’t talking about the Christmas story, the gift that God gave ALL of humanity in Jesus began as a baby. And that story continues to grow in the lives of believers and followers of Jesus Christ. Have you accepted the greatest gift -Jesus? How has your life changed/grown because of your faith in Christ? This time of year, we are celebrating the new life that we are given in Christ. It is the HOPE of the world!

You may think you are not worthy of this gift; it simply isn’t true.

We live by what we believe, what do you believe? If you believe you are unworthy, or need to work to receive the gift, surrender that belief. Sometimes life experiences, trauma, and the human condition causes us to live in lies and we need help to challenge the lies we have been believing. Recognize the truth- God loves you. God never gives up on you. God cares more about you than you do!

God is moving and working in the world today. We have a call upon our lives to love others, serve and reach those who have lost hope. When we pray “Your Kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10)– WE are the Kingdom- we are here, and God will work through each of us. The seed that God planted continues to grow!
