Title: Same Scars, New Story

Temptation is the desire to do something wrong.

2 Corinthians 4:10

“The Resurrection does not annihilate the old creation, it reconfigures it.” – Russell Moore

Every scar has a story.

You don’t get to change the facts, but you do get to determine the story.

What was the source of doubt is now the evidence for faith.

As you reflect on the message this week, use some of these questions to consider how God might be working within and around you.

Questions for Reflection:

  • When we think of following Jesus, sometimes we assume the difficult moments will suddenly disappear. What is the importance of Jesus still having his scars after resurrection?

  • Why is our first instinct to try and hide the scars of things that have happened in our lives? What is the importance of sharing the stories of the scars?

  • How can you better be using your unique story to lead other people to know and understand God more?
