Title: “Planted, not Buried”

Jesus is teaching us to “think seed”, when it’s easier to “think stone”.

If I could see the tree I would always sow the seed.

don't be afraid of the dark

There is development that can only happen in the dark

If light gets in too early the process is ruined.

You’re not called to have a light on you, but a light within you.

Die to My

In the dark, there are some things that need to be developed, and some that need to die.

If your life is about yourself it can never be bigger than you.

If the seed doesn’t die in the ground it becomes the same as a stone.

The tree is greater than the seed, but for the tree to come the seed has to die.

trees sow seeds

What is planted, is not just living for the moment but for the future.

5 Seeds:
1. Scripture
2. Financial
3. Inviting
4. Serving
5. Worship

As you reflect on the message this week, use some of these questions to consider how God might be working within and around you.

Questions for Reflection:

  • Do you currently feel more like a seed or a stone?

  • What darkness might God be inviting you into so that your character can be developed?

  • What in your life needs to die so that new life can grow?

  • What future tree would you like to see grow in your life – passion, purpose, stability, health, impact?

  • What seeds can you plant in your life this week?
