Joy wasn’t meant to be held, it was meant to flow.
We don’t experience the presence of joy, we experience the flow of joy. We only feel it when it flows.
If what was meant to flow through you is only flowing to you, you’re gonna clog your joy.
The sharing of your story, the kindness of your actions, is not about an obligation of religion but an overflow of joy.
God is after their joy, so he came to Earth. Paul is after their joy, so he stayed on Earth. If you want the same joy, you might just need to do something.
Questions for Reflection:
What is the problem with “clogging up” your joy? Where does this limit you rather than help you?
Where are you putting a lid on your own joy? Where do you have the tendency to keep your joy to yourself?
When we tell stories and show kindness it should be from on overflow of joy in our lives. Where do you see yourself doing this?
Where do you lack in this?
What does it look like for you to “aim your overflow”?
