Title: I have Decided

Reconstructing the Rubble:

1 Chronicles 28:1-20, James 2:17-19, James 4:13-17, John 6:66-68

We need other people in our lives, we need connection- yet it seems like being part of a church becomes optional.

The building is A church, the people are THE church.

We expect others to be perfect when we are not.

The challenge we have is to recognize the difference between an unhealthy local church and an unhealthy personal faith.

Our faith journey is not a 1 hour on Sunday – rather it is belonging to the body of Christ beginning with a local church which impacts your community for the Kingdom of God.

Deciding to be part of a church family will help you strengthen your faith through redemptive relationships, serving and giving to the cause of Christ.

I’m not quitting now.

As you reflect on the message this week, use some of these questions to consider how God might be working within and around you.

Questions for Reflection:

  • How did you end up at Be Hope Church? What has made you stay and be a part of the community here?

  • What are some of the reasons that people “swerve” away from the church?

  • What are some ways that being a part of a church family has shaped you and your faith journey? Where has it made you better?
