Pray For Rain

Rain is both inconvenience and providence.

God’s blessing is often experiences as an inconvenience or an obstacle.

We want a life of breakthroughs with no breakdowns.

When you’re prepared you experience the rain as providence and are able to recognize it as good.

Don’t just ask God to give you what you want, ask him to remove what needs to go.

Manifesto:
I don’t have to get blessed, I am blessed. Living in the favor of my Heavenly Father
My praise will be louder than my need, my God has made me well.
What is have is always enough for God to move, he is more than enough for all I need.
Rules are not my Savior, Rebellion is not my answer, I will cling to God alone.
I put his name on it, his purpose in it, His glory over it.
In plenty or in want. I am blessed, I will celebrate.
What I catch, I throw. Nothing is withheld.
I won’t pretend, I persevere, I’m coming back to Jesus.

As you reflect on the message this week, use some of these questions to consider how God might be working within and around you.

Questions for Reflection:

  • Rain is needed for growth, as are obstacles. What are some obstacles you have had to face that made you grow? Would you have grown in that same way without those “obstacles”?

  • Rain is always coming, how do we learn to expect it? How do we learn to see it as rains of grace rather than inconvenience?

  • To hear the rain it takes time. Where are you struggling to hear the rain right now? Where are you getting tired of waiting for the breakthrough?
