Where Jesus saw the disciples.

People worth emulating equip themselves.

We don’t have a spirit of helplessness, we have a spirit of power.

I want you to use your God-given gifts to the fullest extent of your ability; but remind you that you are not God; and there are some storms you can’t paddle your way out of.

Sometimes we’ve had Jesus in our life so long that we don’t remember what it was like to have a life without Jesus.

Faith is not about handing God the paddle, faith is paddling with peace.

As you reflect on the message this week, use some of these questions to consider how God might be working within and around you.

Questions for Reflection:

  • In what areas of your life do you fall victim to a spirit of helplessness?

  • What does a spirit of power mean to you?

  • Have you ever been in a “basanizomenous” type of struggle?

  • What storm are you facing right now? How has God equipped you to paddle through it? What do you still need to surrender to Him?
