Acts 17:16-31
Acts 2:38
The purpose of the restriction is to keep you free to love.
The commands are there for a purpose, but they aren’t the purpose.
Jesus affirms where you are good, close, and correct.
Questions for Reflection:
God doesn’t order us into a relationship with him, he loves us into it. What is the significant difference between forcing it and wooing us into relationship? How does it change how we understand God?
Jesus always points us to take steps closer to God, always guiding, not just pointing out the wrongs, but pushing us deeper into relationship. Why is it so important to see Jesus through this lens instead of just a judgmental corrector?
At times we find ourselves knowing all of the right things or even believing all of the right things without trusting in God fully? What stops us from taking the step to trust? Where do you need to take those steps to trust God?
