How To Proclaim The Promise

December 17th, 2023

Key Points

  • We ascribe problems to God that are completely disconnected from His Word.
  • Never proclaim what God has never promised.
  • Don’t let your reality now shape what God has already revealed.
  • When we repeat what has already been written, it will change our perception of what God is doing, even when we can’t see Him working.

Discussion Questions:

1) Brad gives the example of the impossible triangle – that our perception of God and His promises is not always the reality of how He is working. When our perception is off, we allow it to re-shape the way that we understand God’s promises. Think of a time in your life that you allowed your perception to override the voice of God. What were you proclaiming over your life that God never promised? How did that affect your perception of God and His promises?
2) Spend a few moments in prayer. Proclaim His goodness and thank Him for the ways that He has worked in ways you couldn’t expect or imagine. Ask for a “realignment” of your perception – that you would be able to see God working in your life, even if it’s not how you would expect. Pray for eyes to see Him moving and for boldness to proclaim His word over your life.
