Look Like Him

Title: Look Like Him

Problem : Focusing on the person instead of the purpose.

Solution : Purpose is our priority. Our purpose comes from Jesus.

When we discover our purpose and live with passion that comes from Jesus, we are unrecognizable – we begin to look like Jesus!

As you reflect on the message this week, use some of these questions to consider how God might be working within and around you.

Questions for Reflection:

  • In speaking about priorities, it can be easy for us to get caught up in the wrong priorities in life. What are some priorities God is asking you to focus on today? How are you doing with that?

  • Brad speaks about how we can lose focus when people become our focus. Think about a time when you might have focused on a person instead of your purpose. What did you learn from that experience?

  • At Be Hope we often speak about how Jesus is our hope. Often people choose to find hope in others rather than finding hope in Jesus. How will your life be changed if you truly believed Jesus was your hope? In what ways can you live that hope out now?

  • In the Bible story in John 9:1-11, people first ask Jesus why the blind man was born blind. They believe he must have done something to deserve this, BUT Jesus clearly states there is no such cause and effect for this. He then tells them that we need to look to see what God can do. Reflect about a time in your life where you though toy were receiving something because you “deserved” the bad thing. How does Jesus’ statement sit with you? When have you been guilty of not looking at what God can do and instead looking for something/ someone to blame?
