My Money Has Power

Discussion Questions:
1) This weekend, Brad talks about how the things that God blesses us with (jobs, relationships, titles, degrees, possessions, and money) can become obsessions and we turn the “goods” into “gods”. At what point has that happened in your life? Where in your life have you turned the blessings of God into obsessions?
2) When we decide that our money is OUR money and not a blessing from God, we are choosing who we will serve – we cannot serve both God and money. Where have you seen this in your own life? What was the result of choosing to “serve” money instead of God?
3) In order to see the power of money at work in our lives, we have to have our eyes focused on the One that blessed us with it. Take a few moments to pray that God will help you keep your focus on Him and the blessings that He has given you and your family. Take a few minutes to share the things that you need to shift your focus on.
4) Generous people have a plan. Pray for guidance about how God wants you to become more generous : do you need to be an initial giver? Do you need to become a regular and intentional giver? Or is God asking you to become a radical giver? Share one thing that you can do this week to step into generosity.
