We Move Forward

Key Points
- We are people of courage. When the natural tendency is to play it safe, we move forward : believing God is doing a new thing, relentlessly pursuing the advancement of the Kingdom of God, and becoming champions who passionately live out our purpose.
- It’s one thing when dreaming is used as a coping tool for brief moments of respite – it’s another when it abdicates your responsibility, vocation, and calling.
- Nostalgia never paved the way to something new.
- You can’t perceive what you haven’t stepped into. Perception of God’s new thing requires a first step.
Discussion Questions:
1) God can’t do a new thing in your life if you’re holding on to the old thing. What in your life needs left in 2023? What is keeping you in “safe” and not allowing you to step into what God has for you?
2) Has there been a time in your life when you allowed yourself to stay “stuck” in what was safe even though you felt God calling you to something else? What might have looked differently if had boldly moved forward?
3) Take a few moments to pray. Ask that God would give you eyes to perceive the new thing that He is doing in your life.
