KIDS

Create a warm and welcoming environment for families as they enter our kids' department.

Ministry Specific Responsibilities:

• Enthusiastically welcome first time families
• Go the extra mile to connect with first-time families: make them feel at peace within the kids' space, collect their information, take them to the correct classroom, and connect the child with a classroom teacher
• Learn the ins and outs of Planning Center Check-in system
• Count attendance during service times; record and report numbers to area supervisor

Help with care and responsibilities of infants and toddlers.

Ministry Specific Responsibilities:

• Cuddle babies, change diapers, and feed them as needed. General tender care
• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Make connections with parents and build trust with them so they are comfortable to leave their child(ren) in our care

Help create an inviting environment for preschoolers as they participate in the kids' service.

Ministry Specific Responsibilities:

• Welcome kids into the room warmly, engage with parents, and make everyone feel comfortable
• Connect with kids by playing on their level and talking with them so they feel known
• Work as a team with other Hoe Team members to execute the lesson/craft/activity
• Engage kids in all aspects of service: play, worship, activities, lesson, by actively engaging yourself and assisting kids

Partner with kids who need a bit more help adjusting to the kids' space.

Ministry Specific Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one partnership with a child who may have unique needs
• Attend Kid's Church with the child they are paired with to help them participate in as much of the service as possible to have the best experience
• Create trust and connect with parents about the needs of their child

Create and organize engaging, faith-based lessons to help preschoolers experience God’s love during the kids' service.

Ministry Specific Responsibilities:

• Prepare videos/slides shown in each room
• Prepare and edit age-appropriate activities that will engage and build on the lessons taught by the weekend teacher
• Gather and prepare supplies necessary for each activity in each room

Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for kids by monitoring classrooms, assisting with pick-up and drop-off, and responding to any safety needs during the kids' service.

Ministry Specific Responsibilities:

• Ensure that every parent feels comfortable leaving their kids in assigned areas
• Provide first aid to kids/volunteers when required
• Seek out kids and return to assigned rooms when necessary
• Make sure doors are secure and locked during service, and only allow parents with tags to enter the kids' area during service times
• Help with pick-up and drop-off, ensuring that kids return to the correct guardian

Our Central Check-in Team is here to make families feel welcomed – whether it’s your first time or if you’ve been here for years!

Ministry Specific Responsibilities:

• Be the first person a new family meets when they arrive and assist them in getting information for check-in.
• Prepare first-time guests’ gifts.
• Learn the ins and outs of Planning Center Check-In system.
• Count attendance during service times; record & report numbers to area supervisor.
• Monitor Check-In area during service times and provide assistance in classrooms, as needed (i.e. walking kids to restrooms, connecting with parents, etc.).

We want the Slide Room to be a fun and exciting place where kids can learn about Jesus.

Ministry Specific Responsibilities:

• Provide a safe, fun environment for elementary students.
• Lead students through upfront teaching, worship, and activities that supports kids’ learning.
• Engage kids in fun opportunities.
• Interact with parents/families at drop off and pick up times.
• Serve weekly during one or more services.

We want the Gym to be a fun and exciting place where kids can make friends, learn about Jesus, and practice showing Jesus to the people around them.

Ministry Specific Responsibilities:

• Provide a safe, fun environment for elementary students.
• Lead students through small group teaching that supports kids’ learning that was taught in large group.
• Engage kids in fun opportunities.
• Interact with parents/families at drop off and pick up times.
• Serve weekly during one ore more services.

Someone who will provide one-on-one partnership and works specifically with an individual child who may have unique needs. Buddies generally attend Kids’ Church with the child they are paired with to help them participate in as much learning as fun as possible.

We want to engage kids in interactive and fun ways through lighting, sound, and video.

Gym Responsibilities:

• Support interactive teaching opportunities by running lights & sound in the gym.

Slide Room Responsibilities

• Support interactive teaching opportunities by running lights & sound in Slide Room.

As we grow, Be Hope Kids requires more set up each week.

Ministry Specific Responsibilities:

• Gym: set up chairs, pipe & drape, Welcome Center & Check-In, lights, screens, music.
• PreK: prepare rooms for the weekend by unlocking/opening classroom doors, turning on lights, setting up chairs, and setting up the iPads and TVs for curriculum.
• General: set up Kids Central Check-In, set up iPads and stanchions, turn lights on, set up crafts.
