We Serve Our Community!
This is a week full of serving opportunities for us to BE HOPE to our community this summer. This powerful week is one of serving, selflessness, and sharing the love of Jesus in tangible ways. Together, we will transform our community!

Tuesday, August 4th
Hope Week Kick-Off & Community Night
Time: 6-7:30PM
Help us kick off Hope Week with a fun night for the whole community! We’ll have inflatables, food, music, local community leaders, firetrucks, police cars, and more.
During the event, we’ll pack:
You’ll walk station-to-station to help assemble the bags and take a moment to pray for the people who will receive them.
How You Can Help
1. Give Compassion Bag Supplies in July
We are collecting hygiene items to help fill 400 Compassion Bags.
Items needed: Toothbrushes, shampoo, and other essential hygiene items. You can ship items directly to Be Hope through our Amazon wishlist or drop them off at Be Hope anytime in July.
2. Bring Kick-Off Donations on August 4
On the night of the Kick-Off, we’ll collect donations for local partners, including Feed the Creek and Sunshine Book Club.
Items needed:
Sunshine Books
-Books can be new or gently used condition.
-Please make sure the content is appropriate for kids/young adults.

-Pop top can of microwavable Chef Boyardee 7.5 oz. serving (single size)
-Pop top can of fruit 8-9 oz
-Non-refrigerated pudding 3.5 oz
-Pop top vegetables 8.5 oz
-Pop top canned chicken 4.5 oz
-Goldfish or animal crackers (snack pack)
-Cereal pack or oatmeal packs individual wrapped (box 8-10 single servings)
-Cereal bars & Granola bars individual wrapped (box of 8-10 single servings)
-Fruit juice boxes 6.75 oz (Apple & Eve)
-Cheesy Mac individual size 2-3 oz
-Peanut butter 8 oz

- Prepare for the school year by organizing and prepping student spaces.
Beavercreek High School Main Building
- Get ready for students by cleaning, building furniture, prepping chromebooks, etc.
Greene County Council of Aging (GCCA)
- NEW! Interact with Greene County seniors and deliver groceries to them (groceries provided).
- NEW! Help seniors in Beavercreek, Fairborn or Xenia by tackling essential yard work projects.
Haul Stuff With Your Truck or Trailer
- Use your truck and/or trailer to bring yard waste from project sites to Be Hope.
Oakview Elementary School Kettering
- NEW! Details being finalized with school administrators as they return from summer break.
Sidewalk Soldiers Dayton
- NEW! Organize donations. Women volunteers could serve dinner and fellowship with clients.
United Rehabilitation Services Dayton
- NEW! Clean buses and pressure wash the playgrounds for children and adults with disabilities.

- Help maintain outdoor spaces by spreading mulch and installing weed prevention fabric.

Join the other Hope Week participants at the Dayton Dragons! Buy your tickets at the Hope Week t-shirt booth during the weekend services in July. Money from t-shirts and tickets go to support the charities we're serving during Hope Week!
