What is Be Hope College?
This is an opportunity to earn your college degree through a partnership with Mount Vernon Nazarene University.
Is this an online degree opportunity?
Yes, you are able to take asynchronous courses online to complete your educational goals.
Can you transfer credits into potential degree tracks?
Yes, you can transfer post-secondary education credits from a regionally accredited school in which a “C” or better was earned. There is no expiration on previously taken courses. Official transcripts must be received to be awarded.
Can you use Financial Aid to cover school?
Yes, you can complete the FAFSA and use Title IV funding for school. School code 007085.
Is the School accredited?

MVNU is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, a member of AdvancED and the Ohio Department of Higher Education.

Can Military training count for college credit?
Yes! Veterans can earn up to 40 semester hours of general electives by supplying us with their military training transcripts.
Will I be able to use military education benefits with this partnership?
Yes! We’ll be happy to help you apply them to your education. The following are some of the benefits MVNU accepts:
  • Post 9/11 GI Bill
  • Yellow Ribbon Program
  • Veteran’s Benefits, Montgomery GI (DD214 form)
  • MyCAA for spouses of active-duty military members
  • Ohio National Guard Scholarship Program (get forms from Ohio Adjutant General’s Office)
