Baptism is a public declaration that you have decided to follow Jesus. Jesus calls His followers to be baptized, and it represents leaving your old life behind and beginning a new life with Him. As Romans 6:4 says, “Just as Christ was raised from the dead…we too may live a new life.” Baptism does not earn your salvation. It is a response to the forgiveness, healing, and hope you have received through Jesus. It is a way of saying, “Jesus has changed my life, and I’m ready to follow Him.” At Be Hope, baptism is a big deal, and we celebrate it big! When one person takes this step, our whole church celebrates because no one is meant to follow Jesus alone.
